Children stopped under Terror Legislation

See BBC article here

I have sympathy for the man and his two children, I was stopped under s 44 Terrorism Act before my Middle Temple interview, the officers who stopped me when challenged were very shady on the law relating to stop and searches when I said I would not stop voluntarily as I was busy and when asked to explain what s44 actually said they didn't know..

I didn't make a complaint to the IPCC but next time I might do so.

This appalling story is a truly woeful demonstration of the fact that anti terror law in this country is quite possibly the most draconian in Europe.
S44 draws truly baleful comparison with the so called 'SUS' laws of the early 1980's - are we all now to be classed as vagrants loitering with criminal intent such that the police can come along and feel us up whenever they fancy?!?
Doesn't bear thinking about.

Minxy, I saw a rather gorgeous blonde Police Officer last week that I was willing to come and 'feel me up'.

Not sure if its the uniform or the blonde aspect, but it still sends a shiver down my spine just thinking about it.

Next time I go to London I will be wearing a bulky jacket, a brazilian football shirt and carrying an electricians tool box to raise my chances of being 'felt up'

I know I am such a tart, but she was a cracker.

I do like a good rant; my current topic is the retention of DNA for the national data bases. I do feel that it’s an erosion of civil liberties (and hate, hate, hate the argument, nothing to hide, nothing to fear). I must say that I have just found your blog and find it funny and informative. I am currently a 2nd year law student at Warwick with the hope of going to the criminal bar in the future. I hope to be reading your experiences in the future.
