Dodging Fare Evasion – A guide.

This post only relates to Fare Evasion on Buses that are operated by TFL.
It does not deal with Fare Evasion on the Tube, though I suppose you can use similar arguments, but you should be careful to make that distinction for yourselves.

Quite a few of you readers have been emailing me and asking me how I got out of being prosecuted by TFL for fare evasion. Some of you have been nice, and others have just taken my information and run, without a thank you (I hope you get done propa). Though I find it incredibly boring to give people the same advice all the time, and I’m pretty sure I keep missing stuff out, so here’s a guide if you help you getting out of being prosecuted via settling out of court.

1. You’ve been caught
So you have been caught, either it was a mistake or you were deliberating doing it, it really makes no difference. Make sure that you check whatever you sign at the time, this will be used in evidence against you, so make sure that you agree with what TFL inspector, or if you did not know then you may say that you were under duress to sign it.

If the ticket inspector has taken down your details it will be all put in a computer, and I gather that the decision to prosecute is made by the prosecution managers. If you have given a real name and address you are likely to receive a letter, saying that you were caught at X time and X date, and do you have anything to say about the matter.

You should immediately reply, with a grovelling letter of apology, it will also be important to make sure that any correspondence with TFL is printed off or photocopied, and kept in a safe place or folder, you will need this if you need to go to court.

2. The Court Summons
Think that they have forgotten about it, haven’t heard about them in a couple of months? TFL are extremely busy prosecuting people, probably with the amount of people that don’t pay on the buses. As fare evasion is a summary offence a court summons can arrive any time (so I’m told) within 6 months of when the offence was committed. Any longer and I assume you can have the case chucked out of you as the time limit for bring forth proceedings has elapsed, or you could be unlucky enough to have the court summons arrive 4 days before the elapsed period.

2(a) Read

Though you will probably be in shock and perhaps thinking that your legal career is over it is important to read all the documents that you have in front of you, check all the statements provided by inspectors, look to see if they are signed or not, an unsigned statement may not be valid, after all how do we know that someone else has not made this information up? Look also at the statements look for discrepancies, the TFL inspector may have surmised what you have said, or might not have written down what you said at all. Note this down for later.

Also have a look at the Revenue Enforcement and Prosecutions Policy and highlight any sections that you feel are applicable to your case.


2(b) Do I have to respond immediately?http://www.blogger.com/img/gl.bold.gif
My advice is no, do not respond immediately to the court summons as you will be trying to settle out of court. I did not fill out the back of the form or send anything off. If you have already put in your plea it doesn’t matter you can change it.

If you have received a court summons ring up the TFL number provided on the summons and ask for whoever is in charge of your case and ask for their email, this will speed up communication time, as you will not have to put valuable letters within the remit of Royal Mail.

3. Drafting a response to the court summons

(a) Tone and Format

Assuming now that you want to settle out of court, have read through all the information on the court summons, have highlighted any discrepancies in the evidence against you, and checked that the statements have been signed so you can assure for their validity you can now start with your draft letter/email in the hope that you can settle this out of court.

You will need to sound (a) apologetic, do not rant, keep it simple and precise, and (b) it needs to be written in a formal manner, even if its in an email I recon it should look like this found HERE (click link) . Do not use the same adjectives over again, have an expansive vocabulary but do not get flowery.

Here is where you need to develop your written advocacy!! Whilst also being formal, apologetic all that jazz, you need to be persuasive, be persuasive in a suggestive way for example “It could be open to suggest that…” etc.

(B) What to include.
Hopefully if you have read all the above points you will know what to include.
You may want to set it out like this (a) Apology (b) Revenue and Policy Guidelines that support you case (C) The Pace argument (explained later) (D) if the statements are signed or not.

(C) The Pace Argument

The pace argument relates to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. (You may wish to google this) now TFL inspectors are bound by this act and therefore must perform their duties in accordance with it. Depending on your circumstances you may not be even to use this argument, this must be considered very carefully, because if you use it and its not applicable to you then you will look like a dumbass. I suggest you do your own research on Pace.
Now what can you use PACE for. Basically PACE stipulates that any conversation or questions put to a suspect that are likely to produce an allged confession, must only be after you have been cautioned. A police caution in this circumstance being that which you may be familiar with on the bill "You do not have to say anything. But it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence." So if you have been questioned and you have said anything that may be prejudical to your case you could suggest to TFL that it would be inadmissible in a court of law.
If it went to court, you can make an application under s.76 and s.78 of PACE 1984 to exclude such evidence being admitted.

4. The Waiting Game

So hopefully you will nervously await a reply from TFL as they decide your fate! This process can take up to a week. They will either (a) inform you that they are proceeding with the prosecution or (b) saying that they will drop it, if you pay prosecution costs and the fare evaded, an amount which could be between £100-£200. Once you have paid they will send you a confirmation that they have dropped the case and that you do not need to attend the court date.

5. What happens if they don’t drop the prosecution.

Now I never got this far, however I would try and keep communications open as possible with TFL, keep asking them to settle out of court.

If not you can ask to meet with the prosecutor and suggest that they charge you with a caution, if not then you could ask the magistrate to impose an absolute discharge (which is not a criminal conviction) given the prosecution’s hard stance. You could also show how eager you were to co-operate with TFL, and make sure that you have a copy of all the correspondence between yourself and TFL.

5(A) Should I get representation?

Not if you can settle it out of court, solicitors will charge £100 for an interview as fare evasion does not give rise to legal aid! There may however be people who will represent you bro pono.

6. How will this effect my future career in Law Etc

I have been told that this will probably not effect being called to the Bar. You MUST if asked declare any convictions declare them to your professional regulatory body, either to the Bar or Law Society. If you do not have a conviction then you do not need to mention it ;)

I think that they ask for any previous convictions, not withstanding whether or not they have been spent, so you must declare them. If you do not declare your conviction you risk the chance of being found out later and disbarred, or whatever the equivalent for a solicitor is.

There are two different views on whether or not this will effect your chances of pupillage/jobs, either (a) everyone has done it in London including Barrister’s themselves so it’s not very serious or (b) it’s an offence of dishonesty, “ I wouldn’t want to work with a thief” a mumbling twat would mutter, and with competition for these jobs being so high, its another reason to reject your application.

I got caught by the London Underground and now am getting prosecuted, the problem is that I was traveling on the National Railway, yet I was using the London Underground gates to get out of the station.
Do you know what is the address of the Prosecution Office for London Underground?
Also, if I received the Sumons, shall i appeal to the Court or privately to the Prosecution Manager?

Thankfully I stumbled across your blog a week before the case was due. Ringing the TfL people with the case number resulted in a requirement that I put the request to settle out of court into email form, and hey presto: off the hook. I pointed out that my daughter was a first time offender, very sorry for creating this difficulty etc and the matter was dealt with speedily. Very grateful. The cost: £250 plus a form to sign acknowledging responsibility and promising not to do it again. Of course this is a rotten system: I will hardly notice the hit, others will feel it badly, or may really not be in a position to pay. There is an obvious randomness about being aware of the possibility of settling OOC. Not really fair and equal justice, more like a good deal for people a bit better off and motivated - the rest are condemned to criminality. Only one step away from bribery really. Not what I expect in Britain, but I am a naif obviously. Still you saved our bacon and possibly a legal career.

I really wish the best of luck to all you guys out there who have suffered /are suffering from this nightmare.
My wife had the same problem as you all and here's the particulars.

She took my bus pass (reduced) and got nicked with it.

They sent us the letter, we filled it, they didn't bother, and still took us to court.

The moment I received the summons I went to court to plead guilt as it was our only option.

THEN I read this site, and started it rolling, I rang the number at the top of the sheet and they were so friendly there, they gave me an email to write to, which was on the form anyway, so no point repeating it here.

The gentleman there told me to write just FOUR lines, (not a huge letter of apology) and two days later, we got a pdf telling us how to pay and sign an agreement, the nightmare is over.

I have received right know a fine from tfl to pay 500£ because i used a fredoom pass. I committed the offence nearly 7 month ago and TFL wants me to pay that amount of money by the first of december shall i pay? I don't know what to do

This is a really great guide but I'm just wondering if you could give me some advice - I moved house and my old flatmate has just been to check our post for the first time in 4 months and I have a court date in 2 days and dont have the actual letter itself! so don't know where or what time and can't find any numbers to ring... HELP! will I still be able to settle out of court or shall I even bother trying to contact them?

Hi Lost and everyone else who has taken the time to post their experience and add some assistance. My wife was caught on first capital a while ago with my ticket and although this site was mainly for buses and tube we used the same principal after we received a court summons. After sending a letter apologising and saying we understand the reasons behind their decisions we would like to see if we could settle out of court? A nevry wait from there but then a week before the court date we got a letter saying please call. After that call we had to suggest an out of court settlement which we paid the court costs, fare and additional penalty which we thought was adequate to get this cleared. Gladly First capital accepted it and all court cancelled. This was thanks to everyone here with their extremely useful suggestions. I hope this forum helps many more people but like someone else said much better and cheaper to get the ticket in the first place. I would never want to go through all this again.

Hi, I don’t know where to start as so many things are happening. Actually on 2nd of December 2011 i have received a letter from the magistrate court for unpaid fine when i have called the number given on the latter to see what it was about , they have told me that back in may 2006 I have been caught on knights bridge for fare evasion. I was shocked to hear about that as its been nearly six years and have moved house around that time .when i have explained them this is the first time i am hearing about this case they have called me for statutory declaration. Now I have got hearing on 12th jan 2012. I am scared to death as i have been told that this leads to a criminal offence if I plead guilty. The thing is that I do not remember anything clearly. The only incident I remember i was travelling from Plaistow to earls court and I had a weekly travel card for zone 2-3. I was trying to go to the other platform to change the train as there were delays when i have been stopped by a ticket inspector and he told me that my travel card is not correct and am trying to cross zone 1 without paying for it. I have explained him that I didn’t do that intentionally but he was not ready to listen .And took all my details. He asked me to £20 penalty fare but didn’t have any money on me at that time he has kept my weekly travel card as well and asked me to buy a new ticket for myself I was surprised as they usually don’t retain your travel card . After 1 week I moved home. Thats why couldn’t collect my mails. And after so many years later they have traced my current address and send me the court fine reminder. Please advise what should i do i have got hearing in court on 12th jan and already given my statutory decoration. Should i get a solicitor to represent me in the court. Upon calling the tfl prosecution department I have been told that everything is on hold for now and they are going to attend the court and after that they are going to send me the summons again on my current address. Please advise me should I plead not guilty. Am I going to get criminal record for that? If yes Than when its going to be spent as i am going to apply for ILR in august 2014. Thanks

Hi lost! Firstly I would like to thank you for creating this blog because if I had not come across it I would have pleaded guilty and had a criminal record SO THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Anyways here is my experience: I was caught on a number 12 bus without a ticket or oyster card in Sept 2011 by ticket inspectors with police and received a court summons in Jan 2012 as I had forgotten it and decided carry on the journey. I didn’t not get a £20 fine atall just straight up prosecution letters.

After writing a heartfelt email apologising to them, assuring them I wouldn’t do it again, I have never offended before and that I was prosecuted it would ruin my life (work and travel wise) they replied to me within a few days granting me a out of court settlement which cost me £250.

For all you people that are currently reading this that have a similar situation as I did with TFL, I felt I must comment on here as well to help other people out so I thought I would give you the contact information that I used. The email address I sent my email to is be@tfl.gov.uk.

After reading every comment on the blog I took down all of the phone numbers that everyone else had posted and some extras I found so here they are again it will save you looking through every comment. The first 2 are specific people who work for the TFL prosecutions department FOR BUSSES ONLY! And the last number is the general office. Hi, please can somebody help me.
In October I was caught using my mother's freedom pass. I received a letter a month later saying the case is being investigated and is likely to be prosecuted. I replied with an apologetic letter but admitting guilt. I received summons 5 months later to be prosecuted for fare evasion. I am a law student and am really worried about a criminal conviction. Do you think I can now get them to settle out of court to avoid a criminal conviction? Using a freedom pass is a worse offence than someone else's oyster card so they are likely to be more harsh with this. What should I say if I do call them up? My mitigating reasons would be: that this is my first and only offence and it will ruin my future career.

Again, just want to say thank you for this posting. I freaked out when I got the court summons and would not have thought about asking to settle out of court had it not been for this post. Like many others I have been granted an out of court settlement by following your instructions. The price was steep - £250 but worth it to remain free of a criminal record. I do believe though that except in cases of a serious nature, they go through prosecution motions rather than issue penalties or warnings just as a revenue generating exercise because when I rang up my case manager was so blase and she even called the matter trivial! Still, I wont ever get on a bus again witout making sure my travelcard is in my bag!! Thanks again and hope your law career is flourishing!

Anyway, I got the letter for a court hearing today and will ring them up for a out of court settlement tomorrow - I just wanted to know: will it make a big difference if I tell them that the supervisor did not caution me at all? I haven't been caught using someone else's card but nearly 2 years ago, I was caught allowing someone to use my 11-15 travelcard, I had been really naive and was bullied into it and my details were taken down on the little sheets that are used when officers do stop and searches. The officer at the time seemed really unsure about what would happen and no matter what I asked him about what would happen he just said i'm not sure, you'll have to see etc. The next day, 2 different officers turned up at my house and explained what had happened to my guardian and they had to sign a letter to say I would behave according to the code. The officers did say I would be on their 'list' so if I did something else like damage a bus or something then they would have my name ( this wasn't so clear to me to be honest)They didn't say if it was an official warning /reprimand and I have been able to get a 16+ oyster after this with no trouble. it has still worried me for all this time because I wasn't told whether it would go on my criminal record. Does anyone know if this would be on my criminal record/ would show up on a standard disclosure? I want to go into law and don't want to risk anything by not disclosing this if i need to.

I used my sisters freedom disability pass on the tube and got caught.
I am going to call them today and I hope to god I can settle it out of court I don't care the cost, a criminal record would ruin my life.

I thought I was doomed before I saw this site. I was going to plead guilty to court. I took advice from here and called the prosecution team on the underground. Out of court settlement for £250. So happy that I didn't end up getting a criminal record.

Remember that you can always call them and try to settle with them

Just called them and they said it was almost impossible to settle out of court. I mentions that I want to become a nurse and that a criminal record would make it almost impossible for me. But the said they need evidence of that. So I will email them with some evidence and hopefully that will work.

The guy said because I had received a summons letter it meant they had good grounds to bring me to court and it would need to a be a life or death situation in order to settle it out of court :(

Caught with a freedom pass I found on the street.
I have received a verification letter on monday the 16th and went straight to the prosecutors office the day after. I have been asked £750...reeduced to £550. Anyone else out there with a similar story?

Hi lost I got caught for not touching in at a Zone1 station when I had my Zone 2/3 weekly 18+oyster on my way out from a zone2 station on 25 May.I stupidly admitted that I intended to do this to avoid zone1 fare and also that I had done this previously and signed the statement. Now I got a verification letter saying the facts of the incidents are being considered and I might be taken to court. They asked me to explain myself at the back of the letter and return it to them within 10 days.
At that time I didn't think they would take it this far and now I am dieing out of stress and having sleepless night.I just got a job in teaching and really do not want a criminal record as I might lose my job and will never get a job again. I am planning to send the letter back to them today with an apologetic letter stating it was a genuine misunderstanding and it is my first offence and stating my teaching profession.
I just called them up to settle out of court but they said nothing has been decided yet it will take about 8 weeks for them to get back to me and only then I will know the consequences.
Am I likely to get a court summon?
Please help :s

I have a serious case i need help with please. I have recently received notice that of consolidation from the court saying i was prosecuted in 2009 but havent failed to pay a fine for going on the underground and bus without a valid ticket.

The issue is i cant remember for my life, if at all, when and how i committed those offenses. I spoke to the payment office who said they have recently tracked my new address after i moved out 4 years ago. Now i have been asked to pay a lump sum of £450 to the London East Court but im confused on what to do.

The letter say - contact the court to make payments. The honest truth is i could also be a victim of identity theft because i lost my driving licence during my moving of house and if i committed those offenses i would paying fine.

CAB says i should swear a stat declaration in order to open the case again.

PLEASE HELP and ADVICE. So confused and i dont know what to do.

Hello guys, I just want to let you know that you do not need to wait for the court summon letter to arrive (which arrives roughly after 6 months of receiving ''legal proceedings may be initiated against you regarding this matter in accordance with Transport for London policy'' letter) in order to write TFL an apologetic email/letter.
I was caught using my brother's photo ID oyster card on 29th October 2012. So on 30th October 2012, I received a letter from TFL stating "the facts of this incidents are now being considered and I must advice you that legal proceedings may be initiated against you regarding this matter in accordance with Transport for London policy. If you have any comments to make, to write it on the reverse & return the form with personal details within 10 days. You do not have to reply to this letter but it may harm your defence if you do not mention something which you may later rely on in court. Anything that you do provide in writing may be used in evidence. Failure to respond to this letter may result in the matter being progressed by Transport for London without further notification."

On the reverse of that letter, I wrote an apologic letter and returned it to TFL.

I did not hear anything from them so in the early morning of 12th November 2012, I again emailed them an apologetic letter at be@tfl.gov.uk. But this time, I made it heartfelt and asked if I could settle this matter out of court.

On the very same day, in the afternoon, I got reply from the persecutor saying he agrees to settle this matter out of court. However, I have to pay £250.00, after which the case will be withdrawn.

So guys, the main reason I am explaining my situation is that I want you guys to know that you do not need to wait that long to say them sorry and ask to settle the matter out of court. The earlier, the better, I say. Some people wait for 6 months to receive the court summon letter and then only telephone TFL and ask them to settle the matter out of court.

I got caught on the bus on 29th October 2012 and on 12th November 2012, I got a reply from TFL prosecutor saying he is happy to settle this matter out of court. So within 2 weeks, the matter is nearly sorted, provided that I pay £250 (which of course, I intend to do).

P.S. this was my first offence and ticket inspector did not ask me to sign anything. He just confiscated my brother's photo ID oyster card and told me to wait for the 'first' letter within 14 days.

Damn good blog.

Like a prize tit I used my mother's freedom pass on a bus. The bus driver confiscated it but asked me for no details - no name, no address, nothing. I signed nothing.

What do you imagine will happen now? Should I make the first move? How do I get the card back?

I'm sorry if you have been asked this before - though I have trawled though all your posts and can find nothing that answers this.

Lost, I have been Google- ing answers for my query and i came across your blog. you are very kind to advice ppl. I have a query as well. Pls help me!
My mum found an oyster card and used it for some time( 2 weeks or so) and one day i used it and got caught by the ticket inspector. it belonged to someone who claims income support and gets discount. I told them that i picked my mum's pass by mistake. they asked me to pay the bus fare but i didn't have any change on me. so they asked me to pay fine of £40. I did so and they now have confiscated the oyster card. They also have my correct details; name and address. Will i be in trouble if they find out that the card does not belong to me? or do they just forget about it after the penalty fine.?

Hi, congrats on the brilliant advice you give! Now, can anyone recommend a solicitor? My husband was cought using my student Oyster Card. He received a court summons, we wrote 3 apologetic e-mails explaining that being prosecuted means the end of his career, that I am pregnant and not earning any money, we are willing to pay the costs incurred by Tfl... We attached a letter from my GP confirming I am pregnant and our marriage certificate. They wrote back saying this is their final decision, he has to go to court because he didn't prove this will cost him his job. But he did state to the ticket inspector he is a security officer, so they had this info (if you have a CRB you cannot get a security licence). We've sent another e-mail with his licence and details of his employer but I'm guessing it will be ignored. It looks like we're going to court and we are willing to pay a solicitor if we can get out of this. Thank you!

Hi My son had a similiar problem whereby he accidentally ended up using his sister's bus pass.
we have argued on the basis of exceptional circumstances and the effect on his career and the TFL was very helpful and agreed to settle the case out of court.

Firstly thanks alot for setting up this blog its hugely helpful.
Caught using discounted card few months back. My case wad especially bad as i told the inspector that i might have used it on multiple occasions.
This bit was used against me as evidence. had multiple email correspondence before and after the summons myself and then 200 /hrs solicitor.
In the end they agreed t settle after looking at my past record as a regular user.
Always believed that i was a law abiding person. still don't how i could have done something so stupid

I hope somebody can help me. I was travelling on the bus only for a few stops on my own season ticket (gold Card), I just did not have my photocard with me. The ticket inspector asked me a a few questions such as where the ticket was bought, how much I paid for it and what zones it is valid to and from. I answered all the questions correctly and she was pleasant throughout. She said to me that you can appeal and send them a copy of your photo card and they will be be fine, you wouldn't have to do anything else. I was naive and gave her all my details. I have appealed twice since and they keep rejecting it, despite seeing all the evidence. They keep saying that it's your responsibility to keep the photo card with you. I have been travelling on London transport for the 10 years i have been in this country and have never been asked to present a photocard, so I never imagined this to be such a big issue. I can appeal again, but what am I doing wrong? I don't want to pay them more money after paying a hefty £3000 a year!

Thank you very much for writing the guide. Although the original post was written a few years back, it is still very comforting to get some idea on what going on.

My monthly travel card expires the other day and I completely forgot about it. Regularly I don't need to touch in or out because of the monthly travel card. So I got caught for not touching in. The officer told me it is "only a caution" but I suspect something more is going on.

4. Cases involving "summary only" offences can only be heard in the magistrates' court. Time limits are imposed and these need to be adhered to. The general rule for time bars on summary only offences is that prosecutions will be time barred if Informations are laid more than six months after the date of the offense

On 13th August 2013 I was caught using my dad's freedom pass on the London underground. The lady who took down all my details was very abrupt with me and stated that unless I cooperate she will call the police. So I thought by admitting my guilt and saying yes to everything TFL would consider my case more lightly (which is what the lady said). At the beginning of September i received a letter saying that my details are being considered and that I may/may not be taken to court. At the end of November I got a letter saying that I am being summoned to court and have to pay £130 + the £4.50 fare. I was wondering if there's a way of settling out of court and the Criminal record? I am desperate to not get a Criminal record and I am planning to call the prosecutions department tomorrow but I have a feeling that they will not listen - does any1 have an alternative idea???

Ok folks, here's my story and I hope it can help you all out. I was stopped at London Bridge using my girlfriend's student Oyster Card. I was a totally honest with the inspector (I know how stupid I was for evading the fare). Anyway he let me go and about three months later I received a letter stating that TFL were considering prosecuting me and I should explain my actions. I wrote a letter saying I was sorry and would they settle. However two months later I received a summons to court.

How I avoided the prosecution
----you need to explain why if they do prosecute you how much of an impact a criminal record will have on your life, e.g job, travel etc. I know it's embarrassing but get a letter from someone at work to evidence this
----I was self employed for a year before the incident and had countless train tickets to show I do actually buy tickets - I included copies of these with my letter
----I did again apologise and offered to pay compensation plus the fare

I had to pay a fine of 400 pounds, however I escaped being prosecuted.

Thank you for this guide. I've been reading through the comment but still unsure of what I should do in my case. I know tube is different from bus, but I was caught on the tube and I haven't recieved a court summons yet as it was fairly recent but I ma also leaving the country fairly soon too. I was wondering if I should email them and try to settle out of court (I know they will definitely try to prosecute me) before a court summons even arrives. Any advice from you or your readers would be greatly appeciated.

I received a summons letter it asks formy outgoings and gave three option...

Accept evidence, plead guilty but not have to be present at court but they will deal with my case in my absence. Ad I setup overleaf a statement of my mitigation regarding the offence

Accept evidence and plead guilty at court

Plead not guilty and have the date adjourned.

Does your advise still apply to me?

I was in a rush for a meeting and used whatever oyster I could find in my bag...I didn't have money for a ticket at the time.

I explained this to the guy who stopped me but he wrote that I deliberately tried to avoid paying!

I'm really worried I'm only 20 this is going put my career at risk.

Should I try emailing using asking to please let this go as it is my first time and last!

Thanks lost read your advice and experience and followed it as close as possible after being caught at Manchester Piccadilly. Finding a number to call Northern Rail took nearly half a day but once connected i was allowed to pay £160 and summons was nullified. Many thanks again

A couple of weeks ago, an incident occurred where I used my someone else's oyster card instead of my own due to the fact that I was in a rush to get to hospital for a medical emergency. I was caught and then sent a letter asking for me to give my version of events.

I really want to settle this outside of court and know that there is a high chance of me being sent a court summons. I am going to write to tfL soon with proof of mitigating circumstances but don't know if I should talk about an out-of-court settlement yet as I don't want to pre-empt the fact that they're sending me to court and I don't want to give them any ideas of sending me to court. As a medical student, I need to avoid the criminal conviction at all costs. How should I go about arranging an out-of-court settlement at this early stage?

Hey, i received a letter from the investigator/prosecutor after sending my side of story. It's not a summon letter but said that'thank you for responding to our enquiry letter, your comments will be taken into consideration when reviewing the case". It has been more than a month from receiving this second letter, i still hear nothing more from them. A bit worried what might happen next, can anyone help?
